I am a Pampered Chef Kitchen Consultant, and would like to know if I can give an awesome review to my customers in my monthly newsletter? I also think your Amazing Salad is truly amazing!

Comments:   I just finished a cup of your Habanero Mango Chicken Chili. Man o Man was it good. When I walked in and saw it on the board, I thought it sounded interesting. The sample made sure I ordered it. The other chili I sampled (RIO GRANDE)was good, too, but just not as interesting. Please keep up the great work. When I get near the Blvd I try to stop in. Is it possible for you to email me a few days before the Gunslinger or Durango chilis are going to be featured? I'd love to try them, and with a little notice I'm sure I can make my schedule take me near the Blvd. See you soon. I need to get one of those T shirts in XXXL.

Comments:   I have only been to Chili My Soul once, and it was around June 2001, when I was visiting a friend in Encino. She took me there, and it was the best chili I have ever tasted! I wish there was such a place up here in Toronto! I will definitely be eating there the next time I am in L.A.

Comments:   I eat your Chili every time I go to Jinky's in Sherman Oaks (and that is very often). The "Chili Jumble" truly is the best of both worlds. The wonderful eggs, cheese, potatoes, sour cream, onions, and avocado jumbled with your chili has gotten my day going more then ten times the appendages I have to count.I love the Gunslinger, Mango Chicken, Santa Fe Chicken, Garlic Beef, and Poblano Turkey. Living half way between Jinky's and Chili My Soul, I truly recognize how lucky I am in terms of divine eating. Thanks for the fine, tasty chili.

Food should be fun and good tasting. You guys have got it all going on! I try as many different things as I can and my wife sticks with her tried and true Blanco verde. We love it. Take care and see you soon.

Comments:   COMMENT: I had never tried South American food before, but if this is any indication of the cuisine of Chile then I would most definitely like to pay a visit to this fine country and its master culinary inhabitants. I suppose ordering at a restaurant must get confusing when the name of the dish is the same as the name of the country, but if all the food is as delectable as this representation then who can go wrong? I salute the people of Chile and their epicurean embassy in Encino, California!

The atmosphere is lively, your staff is friendly and the food is extrodinary!

Comments:   As a certified BBQ Judge (Kansas City BBQ Society), I travel the nation judging contests, sampling some of the best BBQ in the world. My mother who lives in Encino, suggested that I try Chili My Soul. I have a somewhat jaundice eye when it comes to commerical BBQ and Chili houses, as what I get to taste in contests, one will never find in a commerical restaurant. But, trying to keep an open mind, I tried some of Chili My Soul, last Saturday evening, thinking at best it would be just allright. WELL!......was I WRONG! " You see my friends, Genesis was wrong, we never left the Garden Of Eden, It's here, right here, in Encino!" Thank you for a great bowl of red! Howard E. Lewis

Comments:   I recently discovered your place and have been picking up orders regularly, sometimes as many as seven orders in a day for my fellow employees. As great as your chili is, the recent price hike will unfortunately cause me to no longer patronize your establishment. It is not because I cannot afford the new prices but when the prices reach a line where it becomes hard to justify such a purchase, I will refrain. Nevertheless, I really did like your chili and I wish you all the luck.

Comments:   I'M HOOKED! My husband read about you in the paper and asked me to give it a try. I could tell by the enthusiasm of your clientele that I was in for a treat. But, being that I like hot chili, I made the mistake of sampling the Demon! Ouch! While it did numb my tastebuds and made the other chili's seem too mild, I did buy a 1/2 pint to take home and mix with the 4 other flavors I bought! I've already stopped by twice in one week and since it is on my way home from work, will probably be there at least weekly. I'm so happy to have indulged and now will look forward to a weekly visit!

Comments:   Hi again Mr.Hoffman, You spoke to us -the family of 4 right outside of your a/c room as I reminded U of the fact that I e-mailed U that noon. My husband went for seconds after U left us, for Gunslinger right after Durango. My boys, 4 and 7 tasted garlic chick, durango and gunslinger and kept saying good mommy, good daddy eventhough they had the yummy fries (which I stole from my little one) and nachos too with tenderfoot for the 7 year old. We took home a couple of pints too. Next time I come by, if it is OK with U I shall bring my curry chili with me just 4 U and your staff to try. Will wait till the demon comes on the always changing daily menu.

Comments:   I love chili and love YOUR chili. I don't eat red meat and so I really appreciate your great selection of chicken, turkey, and veggie chilies. So far I've tried Blanco y Verde, Chicken Royale, Curry Chicken, Espresso Black Bean, Habanero/Mango Chicken, Hickory Turkey, Poblamo Turkey, Spicy Turkey Bean, and Veggie Amor. I enjoyed them all. My least favorite of those I've tried is Hickory Turkey (probably because I've never been a huge hickory fan. My favorite so far is Veggie Amor. Glad you're expanding. Now my husband and I can eat there instead of always having to get our chili to go.

Comments:   I am a HUGE chili fan. I could eat chili three meals a day. But here in ole t-town or the cities nearby, other than homemade chili, we are chililess. By the sound of your menu and the comments from all the satisfied customers, I am inclined to believe that your chili is awesome. There just seems to be a slight geographical problem. Seeing how you are on the west side of the US and I am in the middle I stand to be out of luck in visiting your chili emporium. Although the closest I have ever come to California was about 20 years ago while in New Mexico, I dare say that I just don't go that way for anyreason. And now I just don't have the time to. But I would be interested in giving you directions to my neck of the woods so you could open a chain here in the twin cities. (Texarkana is in both arkansas and texas) I promise it would not be a mistake to do so. Anyway I can get some chili until then?? Please let me know. Dying for a bowl of chili.

Comments:   The truth is, I am a devout "health-nut",have grave misgivings about food prepared and sold by restaurants anywhere and everywhere in the world..and working in the entertainment industry since the age of Twelve, shooting film on location....I have always made special arrangements to have my own privately supplied raw and cooked food..always prepared exactly as my own research indicates is the wisest for health and personal reasons.A respected food researcher and connoisseur of gourmet dining told me about CHILI MY SOUL. I have never been a chili enthusiast....but the possiblity that high quality ingredients were put together to provide such a flovorful and available meal or two....with the use of the cooking oils that most restaurants have never heard of, much less spend the extra expense to use in their cooking....was such a delight for me that I had to see for myself if there was someplace one could have a meal without fear of wasting money on ingredients the human system must expend energy compensating for. Alas....Chili My Soul has become, for me,and my location crews , the safest, most reliable source of incredibly flavorful, healthful food..(.when one is tired of their own cooking..and cares about what they are consuming!)...and chili...from Chili My Soul only....has become a favorite staple . This may not be a colorful, scintillating review,....but it is the truth..unsolicited...and the experience of dining at Chili My Soul or taking several quarts where I have to be (and being able to actually eat potatoes, fried, ...and not worry about the dangers)...and know that everything I purchase is from a kitchen that is more immaculate than a private home could maintain....does MY soul a world of good.

We both had the lunch special with Garlic Chicken Chili and Soul Fries. It was so good that I got a pint of Habenero/Mango Chicken and he got a pint of Gunslinger that we ate for dinner that night. The next day I actually felt like making the drive again for lunch, but I resisted. Not only was your chili great but the restaurant has such a nice pleasant atmosphere. The workers are extremely friendly and helpful. It was fun to see all the customers tasting the different varieties and sharing their opinions with everyone else. Really a great place! I am looking forward to the day when you are able to open a few other locations, maybe with one a little closer to Bakersfield or Redlands. Thanks a lot.

Because of you, I will no longer make my own chili...and mine was really good! But yours is the best...every one is delicious and different. So far, my favorite is the Habanero/Mango Chicken, with Rio Grande and Texas Pride right behind. Garlic lovers must try the Roasted Garlic Chicken! But they're all incredible, and Demon is indeed a 10 plus! You are a real find...I've always admired anyone who does whatever they do very well...and you are the Best at Chili making....it was also fun talking "chili" with you! Comments:   I saw your segment on "Extreme Cuisine" and I must note that I didn't find your chili too terribly "extreme". I make an oxtail chili (not a stew, a chili) that would blow anything away. I also make a chili flavored with "pig ears". Now, I know to a city folk like you that would sound pretty disgusting, but the flavor it releases is incredible (and yes, I do take them out before serving). What I do like is your chili selection. What was it -- 25 chilis? Now that is a great idea!!!!! Since you're out there in Encino, California, I don't expect you to reach Georgia for at least a couple more years. Too bad. Oh well. Comments:   So, it's a 31.5 mile trip from my home to yours, and I ask myself what connects us besides a long piece of the 210, 134 and 101 freeways? Ah, a common bond, a zest for life, the joy of living and the nourishment so needed as to sustain life as we know it. Chili. Kind of like me - thick, spicy, downhome and rich. Okay, three out of four. There you were, Randy, eager to embellish the perfect bowl of poblano turkey with carmelized garlic, served with a side of Shout It Out stain remover. How richly satisfying to find a soul provider with more than a willingness to give me what I need and when I need it. Mmmmmm. It was positively orrrrrr-ganic, yes, that's the word. Afterall, my 9 year old, Amber might be reading this who fell in love with her bowl sans the hot sauce. Or my husband, Rob who "steered" to the dark Texas bowl of warmth. And then to demonstrate how free and liberal Amber is, she said right out loud in front of God and everyone that your chili was better than her mama's! It's so hard to be perfect when I'm compared to you and your adulterous bowl of "love come down" chili. And Elizabeth, if you're reading this, about introducing me to Chili My Soul and the 63 mile round trip for chili...you F------- B----, may you rot in hell or at least bowl of #10 chili with no water in sight. Kisses. Mary

We're currently developing something over at Warner bros. that he\she might be right for. Does he or she have professional experience? Let me know, and I'll reward you with mucho business.

Comments:   Randy, Thanks so much for swapping hot sauces with me. Blown Away!, the Presidential Hot Sauce is the perfect mate to my Monica's Down On Her Knees. They make a handsome couple. When are you going to start making a fiery 11 or 12 chili? The Demon doesn't quite light my fire anymore. Of course, I can always add Dave's Insanity or Blair's Death Sauce, but then you do lose the fantastic flavor of your chili. You have a very satisfied customer! I'll be back...

So, will you e-mail, or fax, (802) 878-3593, me a price list and whether or not we can pull this off. I had the idea that if you frie it and sent it Fed-X it could get here without damage. I'd like to be the first in VT. to carry your chili. How about if we made a trade for our famous soup?Hope to hear from you:Phil Hammerslough

Comments:   Love the chili. Demon is great. Want to try Fusion Pepper Beef, but haven't come in at the right time yet.My vegetarian sister from Texas is also very fond of the place, but thinks you should have some hot veggie chilis. Dave's Insanity is mother's milk to her.My only suggestion would be to update the daily list earlier in the day. I try to check when I sign on first thing in the morning, but they never seem to be ready by then. Keep up the great work!!!!!

Comments:   Randy---thanks to my brother, Guy, I visit your excellent store every time I come to L.A. Here in New Mexico, where some people pop jalapenos like sunflower seeds, we pride ourselves on our ultra-high tolerance of hot and spicy foods. But I must admit, your Demon Chili is as fiery and fabulous as just about anything we serve out here! The Gunslinger and Texas Pride are fantastic, as well. I'll be contacting you soon about shipping some out this way. Please don't change a thing!
